SEABA Championship

Short History

     The SEABA Championship is a men's international basketball competition for SEABA’s region of FIBA Asia. It is the tournament for men's national teams from Southeast Asia. The first edition was held in 1994, in Malaysia. The tournament usually has been played biannually, initially played only in even years. However from the fourth edition, the tournament has moved to odd years and directly it became the qualifying tournament for the FIBA Asia Cup.
