South America Under-21 Championship

Short History

     The South American Under-21 Championship was a men's under-21 international basketball competition for CONSUBASQUET’s region of FIBA Americas. Campeonato sudamericano juvenil de basquet sub 21 on Spanish was a tournament for national teams from South America. The first edition was held in 1996, in Brazil, as the South American Championship for Men 22 and Under. The 2000 edition was renamed to the South America Under-21 Championship for men. The third and last edition was held in 2004.
