Pan American Basketball Club Championship

Short History

     The Pan American Basketball Club Championship was an annual basketball competition for Pan-America's clubs that is governed by FIBA Americas. The originally named the Campeonato Panamericano de Clubes de Básquetbol was the first-tier level professional basketball competition for all of Latin America. It was contested from 1993 to 2000, with the exception of 1998, when it was cancelled due to Hurricane Georges. This tournament was a predecessor of the FIBA Americas League.
