Short History

The North America and the Caribbean Handball Confederation (NACHC) is responsible for controlling and developing the sport of handball and beach handball in North America and the Caribbean, within the International Handball Federation (IHF). It is one of six Regions of IHF which currently includes 21 national North American and the Caribbean handball federations. NACHC was founded on 13 April 2019 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. NACHC arose from the division of Pan-American Team Handball Federation, after IHF suspended PATHF in 2018 and recognition of the NACHC and SCAHC as new continental confederations in 2019 at the IHF Extraordinary Congress held in Gothenburg, Sweden. NACHC holds several different tournaments for men and women categories.
