CAF African U-17 Women's World Cup qualification

Short History

     The African U-17 Women's World Cup qualification is an international association football competition for U-17 women’s national teams organised by the CAF. First edition was held in 2008 and competition serves as a qualifying tournament for the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup. First edition was known as African U-17 Women's Championship and the winner and runner up qualified for the World Cup. From 2010 onwards the confederation have qualified three teams, and all editions are played on a home and away system. The 2020 edition started in January, but all future matches had been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
