UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship

Short History

     The UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship was first played out in 2007/08, having been approved by the UEFA Executive Committee on 22 May 2006. It is also a FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying competition in even years. Four teams were qualified for the final stage. In 2011 it was announced that the tournament will be expanded to eight teams from the 2014 edition. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, UEFA announced that the 2020 tournament had been cancelled.
